We regularly visit the Manly Pav and have done so since they opened a few years ago, on a fine day sitting under the umbrellas on the deck looking up the harbour is like heaven.
Our visit on Saturday evening was impromptu and we were able to grab a rare early table, greeted by Julia with a big smile and we met the chef, Alessio Rago for the first time.
Starting with the softest housemade focaccia and fresh saffron malloreddus, garlic and chilli prawns with zucchini & pine nut pesto with a glass or two of Cape Mentelle Chardonnay, delicious. Followed by slow-cooked beef short ribs, fresh truffle potato puree, paprika, red wine jus, nothing better for a cold winters evening.
The Manly Pavilion is one of our foundation members of the new Halo Dining app launching in the coming weeks where you will be able to book the Bistro at your own home, look out for it www.halodining.com
Whether you want a quiet romantic evening or have friends from out of town the location and the experience is second to none, we highly recommend you give them a visit, you won’t be disappointed
