Lucio the legend lives on in Noosa, a painting of him on the wall of the new Lucios Marina keeps it alive through his son Matteo Galletto, with wife Dieuwke and sister Michela and it is good.

Wanting to try and after having several friends recommend we visit we managed a booking for an early Sunday lunch on Noosa marina. Our table had a serine view of the waterway and we relaxed into a very nice and affordable Mac Forbes Chardonnay, our knowledgeable server explained the menus and decisions were made.

I decided on 2 entrees, the special Spaghetti with raw tuna, absolutely delicious composed of a creamy rich nest of Spaghetti and topped with a generous amount of diced tuna, simple and working perfectly together. I followed with the pickled black lip mussels, cherry tomatoes & burnt cucumber & white gazpacho also amazing, the very neatly arranged mussels (sans shell) with cherry tomatoes and cucumber and the white gazpacho poured at the table in the other half of the table.

I spied 3 very large skull island U6 split prawns roasted with garlic & parsley butter elegantly laid into each other and perfectly cooked. Edwina had the sashimi-grade tuna, spiced marinade, avocado & crispy corn piadina, which I tasted and fresh and delicious, as was the blue eye trevalla with seaweed butter on fregola sarda, peas & mint.

In all, and which mimics the other experiences on this trip to Noosa, Lucios has the passion which Lucio created in Paddington all those years ago, this is a family affair and it shows a commitment to excellent service quality ingredients and crafted cuisine.

Would I return, absolutely, a wonderfully memorable afternoon, I hope you get a chance to visit and enjoy.
