Le Gavroche is a restaurant at 43 Upper Brook Street in Mayfair, London. It was opened in 1967 by Michel and Albert Roux although the original premises were at 61 Lower Sloane Street until 1981.
The first 3 Star Michelin in the UK and I was lucky enough to spend nearly 5 years there as Sous Chef, it changed my life for ever. I am proud to say I am close to the Roux Family and consider Albert not only a mentor but a good friend
I am on that basis a little biased but every time we dine there I try the new and the classics, this is one of the most consistent fine dining experiences you will ever have, the wine list incredible and cuisine divine.
Look out for the Mouseline d’Homards and the Souffle Suisesse and save some room for the best cheese carts you will ever see
