Since 2007, Tom Rutherford has transformed the way food and beverage is delivered at the biannual Toyota Dealer Conferences, creating spectacular celebrations at each touch point, from à la carte dinner menus to bespoke delights that tie into the key selling points of each vehicle on show.

For all the dealer conferences, Tom has managed the design, delivery and creative vision for the food and beverage budget to deliver a group of events spanning two days including a gala dinner, vehicle salon showcase and partner programs. At each time he has maximised the value delivered and the guest experience while achieving a very strong return on investment.

One highlight is the Toyota Dealer Salon which showcased over 400 vehicles. Using the key messages as inspiration, he created a gelato bar for the marketing messages, a hybrid meal of beef and veal for the launch of the hybrid range and grilled beef fillet and a whole roasted veal fillet for the Prius car.

Meanwhile, as the use of the budget was cleverly managed, Tom arranged to have the superb gala dinner served not only a choice of main meal at the table for guests to choose, but also with Louis Roderer Champagne, Shaw and Smith Sauvignon Blanc and Yering Station Pinot Noir, to define five star hospitality for the guests.

Overall, during eight years, Tom has consistently delivered a 42% Return on Investment over and above the budgets and created an unforgettable immersive culinary experience.
